Meeting Theme: Bridging the Divide: Reducing Inequity Through Education
Mental health is an integral part of overall health and is influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors. Inequity and disparities impact the health of our patients and the population as a whole. The breadth of issues and learners we encounter allows us a unique opportunity to raise awareness of inequity in medical education and mental health and in doing so, be part of the needed change to improve health and promote wellness at the individual and societal levels. We need to strive for innovative and effective ways to make these changes through education.
Workshops are 90 minutes in length.
