2019 Educators' Showcase Abstract
Educators' Showcase Proposal
Submission Deadline: January 31, 2019, Midnight Pacific
The Educators' Showcase is a series of brief presentations designed to allow educators to demonstrate novel or innovative techniques and products used in medical student education, residency training, or faculty development. In contrast to WIPs, the Educators' Showcase is designed to highlight "finished" works or products. Educators present their programs and receive feedback on ways to further improve them. The audience can expect to see tools and pedagogies that they can apply in their own programs. The goal of this workshop is to present material that contributes to the educational domain but does not require a full workshop. Examples might include brief curricula, specific innovative lectures or lecture techniques, media presentations, group learning activities, etc. Speakers will present for approximately 10-15 minutes; a presentation format will be provided to structure the presentations to stay within the time limit and allow for productive discussion. Submission of existing programs that take an innovative approach to an educational goal or challenge are encouraged.
NOTE: There is a 250-word limitation when entering abstract text. The system will not allow you to enter any more than that. The review process is blinded, so be sure to remove all institutional and/or presenter references from your abstract submission. If there are identifying institutional/presenter references, they will be removed by AAP staff prior to review.
